Letter from the Captain:

I am very excited to announce Kate and I have purchased a New Boat for 2008. The Vessel Black Sheep will be a 32 foot Koffler with a marine toilet and heater. It will have considerably more deck space and cabin space. It is designed for a very comfortable ride on the water. All fish will be filleted at sea to save your time once we get back to shore. The boat has a built in cooler so Fillets will be bagged and put in cooler to start chilling immediately. We look forward to sharing the new boat with you in 2008!!

After all these years of being dedicated to not advertising I finally broke down and developed a website. For those of you who read that and think, "Is he crazy? How does he stay in business without advertising?" The answer is very simple. All my business is the result of word of mouth. I work very hard for and genuinely care about my clientele. As a result I hope they come back and bring their friends as well. Good people bring good people.

We all know that fishing is just that. There are so many factors. My experience fishing Cook Inlet and dedication to doing the best for whatever the day provides pay big dividends. My customers leave knowing they were given an excellent effort and this usually provides good fish.

I am very thankful. I have been blessed with amazing clients/friends. This group grows every year. In my early years each day I fished was with new people. Now I look at my books each year looking forward to every day. The time I get to spend with my people and the fun we have is incredible.

The ultimate goal of this website is not to gather new business but to thank the people who fish with me. It is also an excellent opportunity for me to keep people informed on developments, issues in the industry, and etc.

Thanks to all of you for your support. My wife Kate and I look forward to many years of providing halibut /salmon charter services in the future.
